We had another day of altered schedules. My oldest son had some activities in NYC this afternoon so after I had my hair colored, we drove into the city and spent the afternoon. Heading home, I met my husband on the turnpike so that I could grab the other kids as he was en route for business. You know that scenario where you are playing tag team? It would be nice to have a personal assistant just to keep up with our six schedules.
I love New Yorkers. They have a combined toughness and elegance about them along with an “I don’t care” attitude. Like I could have worn a chicken suit as my son and I walked down the city streets and no one would have blinked twice. Well, maybe they would have thrown money at me. Truthfully, that’s not a bad idea. Maybe I’ll be a street performer the next time we are in town. I’ll call myself the “Homeschool Hillbilly”, wear some overalls and a straw hat, and see if I can get people to give me money (secretly for their college fund:)
Well, that’s enough nonsense coming out of my head. I must go lesson plan!!
